Knight Of The Mind

I'll do my best to present a philosophical and generally conservative look at current events and life, the universe and everything. Readers are invited to take all that's posted herein with a grain of salt. or if they prefer, a grain of salt, a slice of lime and a shot of tequila.

Greetings and welcome. My name is Steve, I'm 35 years old and I work for the US Army as an Operations Research Analyst. Hence my blog title Knight Of The Mind.

The Alan Parsons Project Blog Stroll -Some of My Favorite Posts

I just blew money I didn't have over at and stocked up on Alan Parsons Project CDs.   Like Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers sequal, I really wanted to use Alan Parsons Project as a name for something totally unrelated to pretentious art rock.
Like an Ever-Vigilant Eye In The Sky, The Watcher Of Weasels roams The Blogosphere; ferreting out the truth like the Maker of Rules and Dealer With Fools that he is.  You'd be cheated blind if you didn't check out his weekly round-up.
The entire Sandy Berger and Joe Wilson twin fiascoes were a Turn Of A Friendly Card indeed to President Bush's relection campaign.  Hog On Ice offers a nice haberdashery suggestion for Sandy Berger's wardrobe.  Leather Penguin vivisects members of the press who are spinning like gyroscopes to protect both of the recruscident scoundrels.
D-42 achieved Stereorotomy with his Rush-Themed Bonfire of The Vanities.
Perhaps, it only stands to reason that I-Robot has infested movie theatres and offended the good name of Isaac Asimov.  Most of Hollywood does seem to be goose-stepping to the left in lockstep mechanical precision.  Dean Esmay links to a refreshing exception to the trend here.
On a more somber note, Freedom's Truth reminds us all what a Vulture Culture these terrorists in Iraq really are.  He differentiates the cowards from the heroes in an examination of how different coalition partners have reacted to violent terrorist attacks.
Finally, Let's Talk About Me. First of all, I'm really good at doing that.  Secondly, I've finally read a Stephen King novel that I genuinely did not like
That's all for now, folks.

As you may or may not already be aware, members of the Watcher's Council hold a vote every week on what they consider to be the most link-worthy pieces of writing around... per the Watcher's instructions, I am submitting one of my own posts for consideration in the upcoming nominations process.
Here is the most recent winning council post, here is the most recent winning non-council post, here is the list of results for the latest vote, and here is the initial posting of all the nominees that were voted on.
